Edward graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Statistics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017. His decision to pivot towards a career in physical therapy stemmed from his interests in tutoring others and living an active lifestyle through weightlifting at the gym. This transition led him to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University where he graduated with an Academic Excellence Award.
Following completion of graduate school, he elected to specialize in orthopedics at California State University, Long Beach’s residency program where he gained further experience in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions as well as assisting with the orthopedics interventions lab class for the second-year physical therapy students. After completion of the residency program, he received his board certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2024. His desire to optimize patient care led him to complete the Spine Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente where he gained a greater breadth of knowledge in movement analysis, manual interventions, and pain science.
In addition to his usual clinical work, he has also helped to provide pro-bono physical therapy services for underserved populations in the Santa Monica region, hosted office hours for physical therapy students to enhance their clinical reasoning, and had a poster presented at the 2025 physical therapy Combined Sections Meeting involving a novel treatment technique he created to help a patient with elbow pain return to sport.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing board games with friends and visiting his nephew.
